Local
Portland artist Hans Liebhart, has sketched
eight historic scenes of Portland from photos
and photocopies kindly loaned by Roy Burgess,
Heather Fitzgerald, Ernie Jeffree, Gordon and
June McRae, Sue Piggott, Portland RSL Sport
Recreation Club Ltd, Evan Toyer and the Westpac
Museum.
These sketches have been transferred onto
aluminium plaques which are now mounted outside
the old Westpac Bank building in Wolgan Street.

Printers in Bathurst have kindly printed just 100 limited edition sepia
prints of these sketches in A4 and A3 and Prints ‘n’ Frames
of Lithgow have provided discounted framing
of these prints as a donation to the Portland
Development Association Inc.
These limited edition
prints are now on sale to raise funds so that
more Signs Of Yester
Year murals can be painted in the town of Portland.
The complete numbered
sets are available with the lowest numbers
and individual prints of
particular scenes are also available. These
