Local Portland artist Hans Liebhart, has sketched eight historic scenes of Portland from photos and photocopies kindly loaned by Roy Burgess, Heather Fitzgerald, Ernie Jeffree, Gordon and June McRae, Sue Piggott, Portland RSL Sport Recreation Club Ltd, Evan Toyer and the Westpac Museum.

These sketches have been transferred onto aluminium plaques which are now mounted outside the old Westpac Bank building in Wolgan Street.

Central Commercial Printers in Bathurst have kindly printed just 100 limited edition sepia prints of these sketches in A4 and A3 and Prints ‘n’ Frames of Lithgow have provided discounted framing of these prints as a donation to the Portland Development Association Inc.

These limited edition prints are now on sale to raise funds so that more Signs Of Yester Year murals can be painted in the town of Portland.
